Tie One On

This very special mini dress from Alexis serves as the centerpiece for today’s blog post. With the roller coaster temperatures of spring, it is the perfect staple. You can never go wrong with winter white and this dress is a perfect example of that! It is a standout piece that I chose to wear for my Easter celebrating. The long sleeves have the perfect detailed flare and thin bows tied at each wrist. It is ultra feminine and flattering with a straight loose style and contrasting black bow tied at the neck. I paired the dress with an over the knee black suede heeled boot. A black Chanel wallet on a chain featuring Chanel’s signature flower, the camellia was my bag of choice. This is a simple ensemble to put together, but looks like so much more.  This is one of those outfits that can help boost your confidence and help you feel good even if you really aren’t!! Everyone has days like that. While this is the first time I am wearing this piece, I know it will be a popular, no brainier choice often. xo B

Rain Can’t Stop My Parade

I know most people hate rainy days and I do too. Waking up in the morning when it is raining makes it a lot harder to get motivated to dress up. But since I am not a sweatpants, t-shirt kinda girl, I went for another easy casual look. I threw on my favorite pair of Paige Jeans. The zippers add a great detail and give the  jeans a bit of a different and edgier look from your average pair. I threw on my cropped thermal shirt from free people because on days like this you want to be comfy, but not too hot. I also added my Hermes belt to pull together the outfit. Lastly I grabbed my Barbour rain coat as I was walking out the door. This jacket speaks for itself and really makes an outfit on its own. I wore my black rain boots with a hot pink monogram to add a little bit of color and fun. Hair is always difficult to maintain in bad weather, so I threw it up into a high pony tail. It takes a short amount of time and also looks great without putting in too much effort just to have it ruined later on! When you dress up it makes you feel better, so don’t let rainy days get you down! Try putting on a simple outfit, it will make all the difference!DSC_0594DSC_0597DSC_0588DSC_0589DSC_0610DSC_0583DSC_0613DSC_0606

This Weeks Feature: From the Beach to Town

This weeks feature item is by my favorite new-to-me designer that I stumbled upon in SoHo on a birthday shopping trip! This delicious fun style is terrific. The highlight piece for today is this light wash, super cute romper by: ONE TEAPSOON. This piece is so versatile and perfect for a summer getaway. It looks just as cute and flirty as a beach cover up as it does for a quick Starbucks run into town. This sleeveless romper even has a little bit of sexy with the low back and swingy skirt like bottom. It’s so feminine and fun with little to no effort. Pair it with your favorite flip-flops. I paired it with Tory Burch Miller sandals in pink magenta for a pop of color! I also wore my all-time favorite Gucci Aviator sunglasses. Be sure to throw your hair up into a messy pony or bun to accentuate the backless detail. You can even pair it with a leather jacket for a casual night out!
