Dressing Up for Fall

As fall is approaching and the school year has begun, I have been keeping my eye out for transitional pieces. Although these darling pink striped shorts with side zippers are a typical summer item, they can easily be worn into fall simply by making a few adjustments! To make these shorts work for fall all I did was add a long sleeve crop sweater from American Apparel. The long sleeves and color make it perfect for fall, while the crop look is still a little bit summery. I accessorized by adding a Henri Bendel long necklace with a light pink pig charm. The necklace works with my color scheme and adds a little bit of fun to the outfit. I paired it with a black Hermes bracelet consisting of gold accents. For my bag, I carried a black Kieselstein Cord purse with gold hardware. The closure has an alligator detail. It is a very classic bag which also assists creating a look that is more geared towards the fall. For shoes I wore my Ferragamo open-toed pumps, which are also black with gold accents. These shoes are an awesome transitional shoe because black can be worn at any time of year, but the open toe is also a summer essential. I put a simple black headband in to complete the look and I was ready to go out for the day!DSC_0313DSC_0329DSC_0319DSC_0316DSC_0339DSC_0335

Takin’ It To The Streets

One of the best aspects of starting Buzz From the B, is that I have been able to share my love of fashion with others and while doing that I am able to branch out.  While I often state that I am a huge fan of girly, pink and bows, the truth is I love all kinds of fashion and clothing from Century 21 finds to Chanel.  So, when given the opportunity to work with some awesome people in the fashion industry on my recent trip to NYC, I jumped at the chance!! They arrived at my hotel and pulled and picked through all of my garment bags choosing pieces for the days shoot.  We took it to the streets and today’s post is the result.  I cannot wait for the chance to do it again!! It was such a crazy experience! There were random people following us taking pictures of the crew fussing over and taking pictures of me. It was such a blast and I am grateful for the time they gave to work with me!! Xoxo to Morgan, Jihad and Tyler!!!

Feeling Anything but Blue

This really is the perfect dress for me. I love clothing that is feminine and what is more girly than ruffles and a bow! Another bonus is the elastic bottom, it majorly helps to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions! The gold zipper and buttons down the front add just the right amount of detailing to the dress. Because the dress has so many elements to it, it really needs little accessorizing. What I chose to do was to slip on a gold bracelet and ring because I wanted to dress it up a little for dinner. I also wore pearl and gold earings that matched the dress perfectly! The thing that I love the most about this dress is how transitional it can be. With fall right around the corner I have been trying to find pieces that can go from summer right into fall, without looking out-of-place. Both the color and style of the dress make it perfect for both seasons! For footwear I just slipped on a pair of simple gold sandals. I can’t wait to bring this dress to school with me!DSC_0970DSC_0991DSC_0997DSC_0992DSC_0995DSC_0986Dress: Solaris | Shoes: Sam Edelman

Hot Winter White

Today’s post needs little explanation.  This exceptional dress by Phoebe Couture is truly a special one.  The strapless style with a satin belted waist is so feminine and soft.  The layers of scalloped petals at the hem are a unique and eye catching detail.  This dress would be perfect for a Labor Day White Party, a summer or even early fall wedding.  It is an ivory color which will carry you safely past that Labor Day line, which has become very blurry anyways.  I paired this dress with a favorite pair of Valentino shoe with a great crystal bow accent, adding to the girly feel.  The only jewelry that was needed, if any, was a simple collection of David Yurman bracelets.  This look is classic yet not stuffy and is timeless in nature.  Dressing up is such fun!!!

Forever in Blue Jeans

As soon as I saw this long blue jean skirt I knew I had to have it. It has a very boho-casual vibe that can take you from summer into fall. Because it is summer, I decided to pair it with a crop tank by Millau that was purchased in an LF store (My new obsession).  This shirt is perfect because it is cute, easy and due to the length of the skirt you can get away with it being a little bit on the shorter end. The lace back of the shirt makes it perfect for a super hot day and also adds an element of femininity. The look can easily be taken into fall simply by adding a plain shirt and leather jacket. Because the outfit really does speak for itself, there was very little accessorizing needed. I threw my hair up in a bun to keep cool and also to display the back of the shirt. I just put on one of my favorite pair of sunglasses (also purchased from LF) and a light pink and grey tassel bracelet to complete this beachy look!DSC_0894DSC_0902DSC_0917DSC_0907DSC_0905DSC_0910DSC_0913Top: Millau (LF Stores) | Skirt: JBS 1865

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

………..That’s what today’s post is made of!
As many of my followers know, Pink is my color and tres girly is my style. So, when I saw this mini dress in pink, replete with baby pleats, backless style and a bow at the neck to boot – I knew this would be highlighted in a Buzz From the B Post. This dress is so simple to wear, but looks like you took hours getting ready.  It’s super lightweight chiffon even has a built-in slip. This dress absolutely makes you feel like a princess.  So, what better choice for my feet than Christian Louboutin Very Prive Glitter Peep-toe Slingback pumps in silver?!? Cinderella would be proud! Sticking with the glittery, girly theme, I added a crystal emblazoned wide cuff and diamond hoop earrings.  I chose a beautiful, pink, heart-shaped stone statement ring and a crystal bobby pin too.  Very simple make up colors were used including my favorite Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color, Uber Beige. It is perfect alone or with a gloss overcoat as well.  Two of my favorite Bobbi Brown Glosses for that are Shimmer Gloss in Rose Sugar and Rich Color Gloss in Pink Buff. This ensemble is definitely not one you will wear everyday, but when the occasion calls for special, this is the go to look.  While, I’d for sure be noticed pulling up to the party, this dress will ensure you’re noticed once you leave the ride with the valet as well.

Under the Boardwalk, Down by the Sea…….

The post for today needs as little explanation as it does preparation when getting ready! This is really just the perfect summer dress.  The black and white stripes and the easy strapless maxi dress are details that are the epitome of summer style.

I added some simple jewelry and was set for anything the day called for from day to night.  This look belongs in The Dummies Guide to Style, you can’t go wrong.

The Motion of the Ocean

The subject of today’s post is an outfit that just screams summer day with these blue and white shorts that remind me of the deep blue sea. I chose them for, yes, the color and I especially like the side zipper detail for a flat front look and I adore the scalloped hem on these shorts. These details dress up the shorts a bit. I paired them with a sleeveless cotton blouse and finished off the look with this fantastic fringed scarf. Scarves can be awesome in the summer too!! This one is such lightweight cotton. The white color is so crisp and the contrasting navy fringe makes this piece iconic summer in navy and white. I feel dressed up yet relaxed in this outfit that I pulled together from a combination of pieces that I purchased individually because I liked something about each one. They did not become an OOTD until they met in my closet :).

No Need to Sacrifice Comfort for Style

I will keep this short and sweet for today’s post. My parents talk about how their grandparents used to get all dressed up to take a flight to anywhere. Flying was thought of as a very special thing to do. Today, not so much!! I still think you should care about what you look like when traveling. This does not mean heels and skirts (unless you choose and if you do- Go You!!) I found this terrific travel option from Kings of Cole. The comfort level is over the top, unbelievably soft. This line of upscale sweats comes in a variety of colors and has great accent details like the buttons at the shoulders and the great zipper pulls on the pockets. I chose the lavender and threw on a simple white tank underneath. Pulling the Louis Vuitton Epopee with soft monogram, Idylle canvas in Encre and matching Never Full, I am ready for the 6 hour flight to paradise. Best part, I will be cozy the whole way.

A White-Out in Summer

White is that perfect go to color (or lack of color) that is basically a perfect choice especially during the summer season. Today’s post highlights a fun dress made by Stylestalker. The sides have dual purpose cutouts that provide oodles of style and cool comfort on a hot summer day. The dress is well constructed with nude mesh above the bust area so the dress holds a beautiful shape and there is no fear of any wardrobe malfunctioning J.   You look just as good from the back in this dress as you do from the front. The extra long zipper detail is an added plus. I can’t say enough about the versatility of this great piece. Making another command performance are my summer favorite Steve Madden Wedges in nude patent. I accessorized with a wide white and yellow gold Judith Ripka bracelet and the 13mm crown ring with clear stone by King Baby. As with so many of the outfits I choose and pull together, this is one that would suit many occasions and would be spot on.
